Organisations

Each organisation has its own people, machines and access rules.

No organisations yet. Create one to get started.

An encrypted backup contains the organisation’s accounts, credentials, saved sessions, links, machine identities and history. Remote files, installed applications and open connections are excluded. Restore requires this same Hub and its original protected keys.

An older backup can revive access, recovery codes and single-use links revoked or consumed after capture. Original expiry times still apply. Restore imports a paused organisation for review.

  1. 1. Download encrypted backup
  2. 2. Verify saved file
  3. 3. Confirm deletion

Use 12–256 characters. Orbit cannot recover a forgotten backup password. Keep the password separately from the backup file.

Check your Downloads folder and keep the encrypted .orbit-org file and its password safely. Use Restore organisation from backup to inspect a saved file.

Select the downloaded file and enter its password. Deletion is available only after the server verifies this saved file against the organisation.
